Don Russell founded Media Mile, LLC with a mission to rethink community development through innovation, ownership equity, and long-term impact. He is the lead force behind several of the firm’s cornerstone projects, including the Media On Madison (MOM) District and the Deer Pointe Subdivision in Blue Island. With each initiative, Don blends strategy, creativity, and a strong sense of purpose, building more than real estate, but real opportunity.
Don began his work in development after years of experience in media, entertainment, and strategic marketing, where he led campaigns, raised capital, and helped launch creative ventures across industries. Known for his cross-sector insight and community-first approach, Don brings together partners from construction, tech, and finance to create projects that are both inclusive and financially sound.
He remains closely involved in every phase of development, from early planning to final delivery, and has built a reputation for visionary thinking paired with hands-on execution. A lifelong learner and builder, Don is committed to making Media Mile a national model for smart, green, and human-centered neighborhood revitalization.
Keishunda “Ki” Miller
Ki Miller is a dedicated real estate professional who brings fresh energy and a client-first approach to every transaction. Born and raised on Chicago’s South Side, Ki combines deep local knowledge with a true passion for helping people achieve their real estate goals.

Horacio Blackwood
Horacio Blackwood is a seasoned media entrepreneur, executive producer, and creative strategist with more than 30 years of experience shaping culture across music, television, stage, and film. Beginning his career as a choreographer and dancer performing with icons like C&C Music Factory, Jay-Z, and Aaliyah, Horacio transitioned into management and production under the mentorship of Richard Scott at the Dick Scott Group, whose roster included Boyz II Men and New Kids on the Block.
He later founded Blackwood Company in Beverly Hills, leading talent management, production, and project development for 16 years while producing groundbreaking content such as The Color of the Cross for Warner Bros., which sparked global dialogue on race and faith. His work has consistently bridged artistry and commerce, elevating diverse talent and championing culturally resonant storytelling.
Now serving as Chief Operating Officer of Media on Madison (MOM) and The Altitude Program (TAP), Horacio oversees content, licensing, and creative development. He continues to drive innovation and community impact by building platforms that empower creators, foster equity, and reimagine the future of media.
